You can choose the kitchen, bathroom, d\u00e9cor and carpets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Everything is brand, spanking new. You shouldn\u2019t have any maintenance or repair worries (or bills) for years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Contemporary homes are designed to suit modern living. New build homes offer popular features, such as kitchen diners, home offices and a bathroom for everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>New homes come with a builder\u2019s warranty against defects. These typically last 10 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Most new homes have top energy efficiency ratings. They should save you money on bills and keep you snug, too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #bda762;\">What\u2019s good about buying an older home?<\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>They\u2019re often well-located in popular streets and suburbs, with all the shops, services and schools you need close at hand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>You can see exactly what you\u2019re buying before you commit. (No guessing what your new home will look like when it\u2019s finished.)<\/li>\n<li>Older homes often have sought-after period features such as large rooms with high ceilings and iron fireplaces. They may also have sash windows, quality wood or tiled floors and decorative plasterwork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Older houses offer mature gardens. These add character and provide privacy. (Their gardens are often larger too.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>With luck, you\u2019ll be able to move more quickly (than if you\u2019re buying off-plan). You won\u2019t have to wait until your new build home is constructed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Older properties may offer better value for money. They don\u2019t come with the price premium that new build properties sometimes do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>There\u2019s often potential to add value.
