When you\u2019re selling, setting the right asking price will help get any future negotiations off on the best possible foot.<\/p>\n

Have a top and a bottom line<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

As well as a figure your home can realistically achieve, know what you\u2019re willing (and can afford) to accept.<\/p>\n

Knowing these numbers will be invaluable once offers come in.<\/p>\n

Think quality and<\/u> quantity<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s not just the size of the buyer\u2019s offer that counts \u2013 but the quality of it.<\/p>\n

Reaching a deal works best when each party knows their own position \u2013 but is willing to take the other\u2019s point of view on board.<\/p>\n

That opens scope for further offers \u2013 and maybe counteroffers \u2013 and smooths the way to agreeing on a price everyone is happy with.<\/p>\n
